This policy explains what information Tottie's Totes collects when you shop with us, how it's used, and who it's shared with. It applies to tottiestotes.com and to in-person purchases made at craft fairs and markets.
Information we collect
When you create an account, place an order, or contact us, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing address. If you reach out through our contact form, we also collect your message.
We never see or store your full card number. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — see "Third-party services" below.
How we use your information
We use the information above to process and ship your order, send you order confirmation and shipping emails, respond to questions you send us, and keep a record of your purchase history if you have an account.
Third-party services
A few outside services help us run the shop, and each only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Stripe processes payment for online orders. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.
- Shippo generates shipping labels and rates for your order, which requires sharing your shipping address, package weight, and declared value with the carrier (USPS) through Shippo.
- Amazon SES delivers our transactional emails — order confirmations and shipping notifications — from an address on the tottiestotes.com domain.
We don't sell your information to anyone, and we don't share it beyond what's described here.
Cookies
The cookies we set are all first-party and functional — they keep you signed in, remember your cart, and remember your language preference. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and no third party can read these cookies or track you across other sites through them.
How long we keep your information
We keep order and account information for as long as your account is active, and afterward for as long as needed to meet our accounting, tax, and legal obligations.
Your choices
You can review and update your account information at any time by signing in. To request a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
Tottie's Totes is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of storing or transmitting data online is ever completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
